My dresses wake me up at night. The construction of a sleeve appears to me, a sailor collar overlap the neckline of a shirt-dress, an embroidery of colorful tulips blooms on the heart side. The lines become clearer in the morning in my sketchbook. I love that time of year when I step away from my sewing machine and put the dresses together in my head. Neither the cost of natural fibers nor the technical concerns of making and pressing affect me. The simple joy of sketching dresses.
