It is a real challenge, explains the architect, not to alter “the existant” while respecting multiple technical constraints and municipal rules. Our house is shaped like a small slice that rises skyward and blends in amongst the beech, maple and birch trees. For two years, we have had the dream of expanding it to set up my workshop there.
I think to myself that what I like above all, in the preliminary sketches presented to us by the architect, is the library upstairs, just above the space dedicated to my dresses, as if the books watched over them – and over me.
